Review of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) by Jim A — 18 Oct 2009
H20 is, in my opinion, what 'Halloween II' should have been. If they wanted to continue the story of Michael Myers, they should have waited until he was truly missed before pumping out a bunch of dry sequels.
Anhow, ignoring the last four 'Halloween' sequels (as it should), 'H20' is a direct sequel to John Carpenter's original Night He Came Home, picking up 20 years after Michael Myers first stalked Laurie Strode on Halloween Night.
Laurie, played with perfection by Jaimie Lee Curtis, is now a devoted alcoholic with a son of her own. On his seventeenth Birthday, Laurie's brother Michael returns to finish what he failed with Laurie.
If you only have room for one Halloween sequel in your movie collection, make sure it's this one.
