Review of Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) by Robin V — 03 Mar 2017
This sequel does a few things well: the atmosphere is appropriately bleak, and there's a renewed focus on background action, such as Michael stalking his unknowing victims from afar or Michael's mask eerily materializing out of blackness.
The problem is that it introduces story elements that range from confusing to downright aggravating; also, it's not very scary. Overall, it's an uneven watch, but I wouldn't call it a bad one.
