Review of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) by Paul E — 09 Sep 2008
Neither better nor worse than Halloween 2, this one resurrects Michael Myers after the highly enjoyable part 3. This time he's after his niece, back in Haddonfield. Great opening autumnal shots hold promise, and the bit when Michael's in Jamie's bedroom during a thunderstock is pretty good, but after that it's pretty much standard slasher fare.
However, I do have a soft spot for this one because I used to love it when I was about 14-15! The end sees the series go kind of full circle, with Jamie pulling on the clown mask.
