It's entertaining. The nostalgic throwbacks to the 1978 classic are a nice touch and Jamie Lee Curtis is great in her reprised role. The humor feels out of place at times though, and the fact that Laurie would stay in Haddonfield for 4 decades is kind of ludicrous.
All in all this wasn't as great as I expected, definitely flawed, but way better than the majority of other abysmal installments that came after Carpenter's classic.
