Review of Halloween (2018) by Chad M — 05 Nov 2018
Horror master John Carpenter returns to executive produce and compose and score the haunting soundtrack in new but equally creepy fashion. Original Shape Nick Castle returns as Michael for a stunning cameo and Laurie Strode is again played brilliantly by Jamie Lee Curtis.
James Jude Courtney has received the torch passed to him by Castle to make his own mark as a horrifying Myers Boogeyman! David Gordon Green directs a film that serves as a wonderful and enjoyable sequel to the 1978 classic exactly 40 years later.
The climax and final 30 minutes are as good as if gets heated with suspense and a few clever homages to the original. We have another great Halloween film to enjoy each year now!
