Halloween 2018 distinguished itself as a stand alone movie that ignores everything since the brilliant original, and thats what makes this movie great. There are several shots that perfectly mimick shots from said original.
The characters are well established and very solid, the acting is great all around, the suspense is definitely there, and the score is wonderful. The only real beef I have with the characters is the ï¿ 1/2New Loomisï¿ 1/2Â?.
The character is relatively unneeded, and his actions are somewhat nonsensical. Other than that, I think this is a fantastic movie and have recommended it to everyone I know who is into horror flicks.
Also, I donï¿ 1/2(TM)t want to forget to mention the Laurie Stroud character that is reprised by the timeless Jamie Leigh Curtis. They have done a wonderful job of telling the story of her life since the events of Halloween night 1978.
All in all itï¿ 1/2(TM)s a great film to watch in the dark with someone special for a movie night. Enjoy the flick, and thanks for reading the review of this Halloween Superfan.
