Review of Halloween (2018) by Lil H — 19 Oct 2018
Just got home from watching this. I'm a die hard. It was a 6 at best. Michael looked good. Intro was decent but rushed. Score was ok but surprised of Carpenter's decision to go so....Techno-ish.
Halloween deserves better. It deserves better than useless characters and a high school dance. GRRRRRR so angry. Too many nods (some appreciated). How many more nods will be in the obvious sequel? I had hope but Blumhouse isn't a good fit for this series.
They should stick to The Purge and Valentine's Day. David and Danny clearly had their hands all over this with the comedy throughout. Not taking away from many good scenes but the camera work was atrocious.
The ONLY great shot was the pan up of Michael in the house after he got his hand shot off. GREAT shot because you can't see him very well. That's why Michael was so scary to me. This movie made him look like the lead in a sitcom.
Jamie was good. The doctor turning on the cop made me want to scream in anger. It was like a nod to H6 which should've never happened. Burnt the whole house down???? I could go all day. This movie was rushed and pushed on fans and the true ones know it.
Ok I'm done.
