Review of Halloween (2018) by Lamontraymond — 18 Oct 2018
Saw it twice in two nights, and I liked it MUCH better the second time for some reason. The call-outs (and reversals) from the first movie are great, and the Easter Eggs (Season of Witch Silver Shamrock masks) are fun.
But Curtis is phenomenal. I liked the Home Alone aspect of the film. The teenagers are extremely well-cast, especially the girl playing Strode's granddaughter. The dialogue among the teens is especially well-written, actually.
The worst part of the film is the new doctor. He can't hold a candle to Donald Pleasance's Loomis. And those podcasters...ugh! Still, I had a great with this. Highly recommended.
