The best parts about this film is the new John Carpenter score and watching Michael Myers do his thing. Everything else...eek. The new characters are cringeworthy, they dropped the mother son angle and instead replaced the son with two women.
This seems like a missed opportunity as I would've liked to see Laurie's son take on Michael. Instead we get a series of things that just don't work. Forget the sequel, if this is the direction they're going, I'm out.
A series which used to run on testosterone now runs or plods along on soy milk. Buy the original masterpiece in 4K and watch that instead of this.
