The movie all round was an excellent addition to the halloween franchise, using the first movie as a basis and essentially removing every movie after from the franchise, removing the supernatural aspects of Michael Myers and restoring him to what he originally was, and "mentally deranged psychopath who was out for blood".

Although the movie was never the less a wonderful sequel to the first, the movie had a few down points, for example parts of the movie relied on comic relief instead of suspense, such as the child that was being babysat who seemed to be just used to get a small few laughs from the audience in a scene , which if didn't had the child , would be a almost perfect scene.

Another example is Michael's new doctor who instead of being a replacement of the late Donald Pleasance, was what seemed to be an obsessive "fan" who instead of wanting to contain the evil of Michael wanted to essentially wanted him to "Say something".

Other than useless scenes and pointless tone drops the movie was a excellent story that the original directors (who mostly directed this addition) would be proud of, using familiar camera tricks, recreating the movies opening from the original, and using the outer focus to hide Michael from the audience.

All together a amazingly enjoyable movie.
