Honestly, the most accurate way to describe this film, is an amazing clean slate. The directorial style, the screenwriting, and the score set a perfect pace that leaves you on the edge of your seat and anxious to see it all unfold.
From start to finish, I was not disappointed. The trailers kept the films climax tightly under wraps to their best of abilities and there were so many parts where I was surprised with how well they were shot.
I highly recommend that any fan of the series give this film a chance, even if fearful that it'll end up like one of the prior (often lackluster) sequels. As I said, this film is a clean slate for a brighter Halloween future.
