Review of Halloween (2007) by Kendyl C — 01 Oct 2013
Although not as cringeworthy as many of the later sequels in the franchise, Rob Zombie's reimagining of John Carpenter's 1978 horror classic is darker, gorier, and more gruesome, as expected. But unfortunately, uncovering Michael Meyer's origin only makes him less mysterious and Zombie also seems to forget that the original's lack of onscreen violence contributed to its effectiveness.
