Review of Halloween (2007) by Bill C — 19 Nov 2012

I started off thinking that this movie was way too violent and graphic even for Michael Myers, but then I remembered this is Rob Zombie's vision of Halloween. In that sense, this movie was just as good as the original.

However, it is so different from the original that I honestly couldn't consider it a remake. The movie was truly gut-wrenching and there were numerous tense moments where I honestly jumped. The film truly shines in the field of building tension, as the sound and camera are utilized to the fullest.

This film also shows Michael as a human being and there are parts where you truly feel sorry for him. Gory, scary, and fresh, I highly recommend it.
