Not necessarily better than the original but it's possibly the best slasher remake I've seen yet. Although technically it's part prequel as well seeing the remake aspect didn't fully kick in til half way in.
It did feel rushed the second full on remake half but in retrospect the disturbing first half kinda made up for it.
