Review of Halloween (2007) by Issa G — 29 Dec 2017
It can't compare to the original, but Rob Zombie's Halloween is an underrated remake. The increased gore is mostly a good thing, and Tyler Mane's silent performance as Michael Myers is perfectly terrifying, partly but not entirely due to his 6'8" height.
Scout Taylor-Compton can't replace Jamie Lee Curtis, but her performance is almost as great. The return of Danielle Harris to the franchise helps boost the film, and she gives a strong performance as Annie Brackett.
Overall, this is a very well made film, and it's even better if you can forgive the occasional little mistake.
