Malcolm Mcdowell was a good choice for the role of Dr. Loomis and he played it very well, but I think this is quite the unnecessary remake. I can understand that Rob Zombie tried to re-energize the Halloween franchise by making it darker and grittier, but it really wasn't necessary.
