Review of Halloween (2007) by Forrest S — 11 Mar 2012
Zombie's "vision" is to turn Carpenter's characters into foul-mouthed white trash. However, his most fatal mistake is giving Michael a long, silly 'Psychology for Dummies' backstory, while hardly giving any screentime to heroine Laurie Strode (who's reduced to a screeching teenage caricature here).
It's quite brutal and bloody, but certainly not suspenseful or scary.
