It's not that it's not funny... yes, it's funny but its humor just comes off as plain unoriginal. It consists of the very obnoxious slapstick humor the Farrley Brothers (Dumb & Dumber, There's Something About Mary, etc) have been doing since the beginning.

And considering this is one of their first movies back since 2006's 'Stuck On You' it might be safe to say their style of humor has gone a bit out the window. Granted this movie has its funny moments, the jokes aren't anything you haven't seen before setting this up to be a pretty lazy comedy.

For some reason I feel like this movie would have done better in the 90's or early 2000's. Maybe I'm just hard on it. Or maybe this generation needs comedy to take it to a different level.

I don't know.
