Review of Hall Pass (2011) by Russ F — 14 Jun 2014
Here's the thing, if you go in not knowing what to expect, this is a very fun, raunchy comedy. Don't go in with expectations! With that said, there are some gags that almost had me on the floor I was laughing so hard.
The story is preposterousness, but it ends up working out and I was into it. And like many Farrelly bros. films, it has a message at the end. It isn't the best comedy of the year, but it did what many haven't in recent memory: it made me laugh.
It was also nice seeing Stephen Merchant here, he was hilarious (stay tuned after the credits)! It seems we will never get another comedy masterpiece from the director duo, such as "Dumb and Dumber," "Kingpin," or "There's Something About Mary," but at least they can still make a really funny movie.
