Review of Hall Pass (2011) by Bob S — 06 Feb 2012
From beginning to end, this film provides one laugh after another. Just imagine the antics that ensue when everyman Rick (played by Wilson) is presented with a week off of marriage from his frustrated wife.
Along with his buddy Fred (played by Sudeikis), Rick heads out on the town for a week and gallivanting and chicanery and most of it goes as well as you'd expect for someone who's been out of the game for a while.
I love the introduction of such an original story to the overdone, screw up husband slapstick comedy. It was also a sharp move to include subplots from the other side of the bedroom as the wives also face certain challenges during their husbandsâ?? week of freedom.
