Review of Half Baked (1998) by Loren — 26 Sep 2008
An hour and a half is apparently all the time you need to unravel a tale of 4 potheads who live together and get high just to eke their way through every waking moment of their lives. On top of that, they just so happened to be played by 4 really funny dudes.
Yeah, the plot was kinda simple-dudes grow up together smoking weed, dude gets arrested for killing a diabetic police horse which he just so happened to feed pink popcorn and other munchies, other three aforementioned potheads band together to sell dope to bail out said buddy before "Nasty Nate Mortenson" ass rapes him, they get caught up in a big conflict with the H.
N.I.C. as far as dopemen go, and even some more sober moments as Thurgood becomes conflicted about which Mary Jane he loves more. Tommy Chong makes an appearance as the "Squirrel Master". I mean come on dude, it's fuckin' Tommy Chong.
Hands down the most awesome stoner movie ever made.
