Review of Hair (2012) by Philip H — 26 Dec 2007
This hippies-against-the-Vietnam-war musical has aged considerably in entertaining value since the late 70's. Its choreography or music is not its strogest point, which can be a big let-down (with opening and ending songs being the highlights).
There are some paralelisms here with the situation in Iraq and the dichotomy about what is more noble: to preach the life of free-love and peace or to fight for your country?. Some of its free-spirit message is still strong and intact but the hippies just seem to be a bit of a caricature although probably because they were only victims of their own fashion.
