Review of Hair (2012) by Wesley R — 24 Feb 2008
We rented this movie after seeing Across the Universe to compare the two because of their obvious similarities. Sad to say, Hair doesn't fare real well. For one thing, Across has the advantage of better music.
How could anything compare with the Beatles soundtrack. And, truth be told, Across has a better, more believable story and over-all better acting. That being said, I remember being deeply moved by Hair when I first saw it in the theater.
The more recent Across does a better job of portraying the Viet Nam era.
