Review of In America (2003) by Wesley R — 11 Feb 2012
This is a beautiful movie that will make you laugh and cry. The two girls, who actually are sisters, were just wonderful.
My wife and I watched Jim Sheridan's masterpiece again last night, for at least the 4th time, laughing and crying again through-out. Everybody in the cast is very good. The two real life sisters who play the daughters in the movie are heart-wrenchingly good. When the older one tells her Da towards the end of the movie that she has carried this family on her back for the last year as they try to recover from the death of her brother, you know that what she says is true.
