Hacksaw Ridge has a powerful message to tell about war, and how trivial it is compared to human life. Andrew Garfield perfectly captures the essence of Desmond Doss, a Christian, who dared to make a difference during a time of great turmoil.
Neither melodramatic or tedious, Hacksaw Ridge is in the purest form, a historic work of art in modern day cinema.
