Review of Hacksaw Ridge (2016) by Tor M — 24 Apr 2017
Though you might think this is another war movie that we've seen countless times before, but thanks to Andrew Garfield's inspiring performance and Mel Gibson's brutal, yet heart warming direction; "Hacksaw Ridge" brings out a war story that we never thought it existed.
The filmmakers brilliantly brought the story of a WWII soldier that saved countless lives, both good and bad, without the need of killing or the use of a gun. It's inspiring and fascinating to know that a story like this actually happened.
The gore and violence might be a bit troublesome for those who have a soft heart, but the journey to get to end will be satisfying. Thank you, Medic Officer Doss for your courage in saving those men.
