Review of Hacksaw Ridge (2016) by Hd C — 04 Feb 2017

Thank you Mr. Gibson for introducing Desmond Doss. I had no idea that he was a war hero.

This is a well made and wonderfully acted movie. I did expect gory battle scenes but what I didn't expect was the back round story. Doss as a child, his brother, his troubled father and loving mother. Doss does something where it changes his life forever. The romantic courtship when Doss met the woman of his dreams and he volunteers to join the Army. He meets his Sargent (Vaughn) and gives Doss hell, but softens when he sees what Doss is all about. Vaughn did a convincing job. I wont give it away, but he's fantastic.I won't say anymore but rather, just go see this movie.

Mr. Gibson needs to direct more movies. This thing to wait 10 yrs for a Gibson movie is ridiculous. He brings QUALITY. Something many directors lack.
