Review of Hacksaw Ridge (2016) by Ted W — 26 Feb 2017

Great phenomenal Oscar worthy winner war movie starring fantastic actors Andrew Garfield and Vince Vaughn and directed by a great director who hasn't directed anything I think since the passion for the Christ Mel Gibson everybody.

He does a good job, and at the end where they show the interviews of the real Desmond doss and the real captain, and forgot to mention Desmond s brother Hal. When the date said 2003 , I thought to my self, did Mel Gibson or a producer or script writer of this movie interviewed the real people to create this movie, it was a shock that they've been working on this film for years.

Do the math , 2017 minus 2003. That's a fudging long time to make a movie and it worked out. The feel / effect , the war environment is just spectacular, it really is, and you feel for Desmond and him saving all those men.

And that quote, when Andrew Garfield says it , it's awesome and then when the real Desmond says it, just wow. Their are not a lot of war movies anymore because of fudging Hollywood cranking them out like hot cakes, but this is actually good.

Going into this movie I thought it would be passion for the Christ all over again but it's not, it's something special and will boost Andrew Garfield a career and Vince Vaughn because they've had some bad movies lately and this has put them back as good actors again.
