Review of Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009) by Lee G — 31 Dec 2010
I don't know exactly what it is about this film that I liked so much, but it's likely a mixture of the story's sweet and loyal simplicity and a very likable and handsome dog. I don't even own a dog and this got me choked up.
The fact that this is based on a true story just blew me away. The story is fairly predictable, but I didn't care so much as the story touched my heart in an unexpected way. Think the way it was told partially from the dogs point of view really helped this film become even more affecting.
