Review of Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009) by Hanna S — 04 Dec 2017
I have always been a huge fan of dramas so Hachi: A Dog's Tale, did not disappoint me! The movie is based on a true story that took place in Japan.
The plot is easy to follow. It's focused on Hachiko's and Parker's(Richard Gere) relationship. The Professor found Hachi from a train station and tried finding his owner, but failed and decided to keep him. Over the year, the pair became very close and Hachi started sending Parker to the train station, waiting for him there until he came back from work. However, one day Parker had a heart attack and never returned. From that day on Hachi returned to the same spot everyday, waiting for his owner until he died of old age.
I find the film to be extraordinary. I loved every second of it- the incredible acting, fitting music and overall how the story was told. It made it very special and emotional.
The film is undoubtedly a real tear-jerker. One moment you're laughing and the other, crying. It is worth every single tear! I recommend it to everyone, especially families. It'll find a place in everyone's hearts.
