Review of Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009) by Ruben Manasse P — 05 Apr 2013
Well, were can I start? First I gotta say that I am very touched of the story about Hachiko! It is a great story about true love, between a man and his dog, and that this little story could amaze 1000s upon 1000s, doesn't surprise me at all!
Now back to the film.
Well, it is really a, ehm, great movie. I kinda liked it a lot. Starting with the journey Hachiko had before he ended up on the train station, till the end when he laid down at the train station, to wait for the man that first found him.
I remember the first time I watched Hachiko, I was sitting in my bedroom with my bestfriend and his girlfriend (yeah, it was awkward!) and I have always been a sensitive person.. SO I tought that if it turned out to be a sad movie I was pretty fucked up!
But I sucked it up and started the movie! So at the time where the professor dies, I start to cry, and I wont stop crying.. Even better my friends were sitting in the sofa laughing at me. So from that moment til the last scene I cry, and I keep crying for another 30 minutes!
Well, what I'm trying to say is that the movie touched me very much, and I gotta say that it, today, propably is my favoritte film of all time!
So its a 9,7/10 from me, its just that they could've filmed it better, And with $16 million they could've done more, but it's a great movie!
