Hachi: A Dog's Tale has a good heart, but it's not a feature-length movie. They've stretched the short story so paper thin that it's practically transparent. It's essentially like watching a 90-minute dog video on the internet.
However, all the Akita cuteness still can't make up for the slow plot and pacing.
