Like Old Yeller this movie will have you tearing up from time to time. Hachi is the story of a professor who finds a lost puppy who waits for him every day at the train station for him to get home. One day the professor doesn't get off the train tho.

Hachi still waits, every single day. When I found out this movie was based on a try story it blew my mind. The story is so simple but it makes us weep. Some parts of the movie tend to drag on tho. Like a lot of the train station scenes.

I get it's trying to show you how much time that the two spent together but you don't need to show every second of the station. Another issue is that when the big thing that you've been leading up to happens I didn't feel bad for Parker Wilson (Richard Gere) because I hardly knew anything about his character, other than that he found and raised a puppy that was the most faithful thing since Old Yeller.

I understand that the movie is about Hachi. Bug they could have at least gave Richard some more scenes just so we knew his character better. Hachi nonetheless still has enough to make even the toughest of audiences tear up.

If you're looking for something to watch because you need a good cry than this movie is for you.
