Review of Gunga Din (1939) by Justin R — 28 May 2009
Although Kipling is not one of my favorite authors, this was an interesting take on his poem Gunga Din. It has an all star cast and has some pretty funny lines. Cary Grant has a great comedic role, which he does particularly well.
And Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. is his perfect straight man. But it is Sam Jaffe who gets the title role as Gunga Din. It's greatest misfortune was coming out in 1939 with so many other amazing movies.
