A historically inaccurate account of what happened...BUT it is one of the greatest Westerns of all time. Both Lancaster and Douglas are an actor's actors, and the played the perfect heroes in a Western; one, a pure hero who is always righteous, even when he's wrong; and an "outlaw/gunman" who was actually a good guy.
A great old school Western.
