How else would one depict a tornado ravaged town and the people in it? My guess would be with glue huffing kids, dead cats, chair wrestling, and green bathwater. I loved that I forgot I was watching a film.
There were points in the movie where I thought it was a documentary. The art direction was very good, I thought the set's were wonderfully chaotic. The soundtrack mirrored the entire production and matched well with the storm-torn nature of the film.
It also made me wonder what the residents of New Orleans are going through post Katrina.I Loved the long takes and the gritty cinematography. This belongs in the art house film section.
