Review of Gummo (1997) by Steven M — 16 Jul 2010
I watched this for the second time recently and was surprised that I laughed a lot. Especially in the scene where the skinhead brothers start fighting and when the kid's mother does some great dancing and stares at us, breathing deeply.
The range of haircuts on show here are enough to keep you enthralled and the brutal soundtrack jolts. I really liked it and know that Korine has a fierce vision.
