Review of Gummo (1997) by Roofus H — 10 Mar 2010
A movie that shows many horrible aspects of life, just all in one town. A film without parallel. I loved this movie. The originality is impossible to overlook. An almost documentary style drama filled with debauchery, ugly people, and the less intelligent. Definitely a dark film, creepy in a very unique way.
I'm not a fan of Harmony Korine's film KIDS but Gummo is easily a necessity for movie collectors and connoisseurs alike.
