Review of Gummo (1997) by Kristian J — 16 Dec 2010
By far one of the best films I have seen. The first few scenes of the Bunny Boy itself has it's artistic control. Cleverly casted with it's rich and original stories. Harmony Korine develops a dream like town full of misfits and portrayals of American lifestyle.
The camera work has intrigued me so much with the use of colour and different techniques, hand held camera being one of my favourite. Filled with aroused characters and disturbing and confronting yet interesting scenes, dare I say, Harmony Korine is a genius.
