Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) by Golbez — 12 May 2017

This movie works hard at being better and more clever than the first, often it is as much as it isn't, and at times, the humor feels forced, but not out of place. The antagonist feels like he is for sure classic disney formula, plays the good guy than turns bad, so sad.

But the ending is so strong and brings the film to a dramatic, emotional and telling conclusion before the film has a chance to overkill itself. If I had to pick between the two movies I would go with the first, because the characters feel more natural and there is better flow from scene to scene.
