Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) by Josh F — 26 Nov 2017

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was lots of fun and very entertaining. Great cast of characters and lots of Easter eggs. And stay for the 5 end credits scenes. Things I didn't like?- The plot of Ego The living planet as a central character as Peter Quills father. The story from the comics marks Peters father as the leader of a space empire which would have played excellently into Infinity War and way better than a stupid planet.

The new characters that pop up from the comics are completely changed from superheroes in comics to space pirates in this movie which is another mistake. I'd rather see some superhero elements in this world as I think it would make the whole space mythos of Marvels Cinematic Universe way more interesting and rounded. Also, that last fight and most of the plot between Peter and his father was lame as was the final fight.

As much as I loved the 1st movie, I am bummed out that the 2nd movie was such a dud and I am not looking forward to the 3rd movie because we won't get to see Adam Warlock and his story won't time into The Infinity Gauntlet storyline.
