Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) by Flexedacorn — 22 May 2017
A fun sequel that had more heart than I was originally expecting going in to the theater. The main theme of the movie is about family, those that are family by blood and those that are gained through comradery.
Drax was hilarious as the trailers made him out to be, and the rest of the guardians banter was on par with the first film. Without giving away spoilers, I found the villain in this way more fleshed our in this film as opposed to Guardians 1.
My favorite villains are always the conflicted ones that think they are doing things for the better good. The movie did feel a little convoluted at times with all the overarching plots, but It didn’t hinder my overall experience.
I was a fan of the first film and was just as happy the second time around.
