The first installment of this presumed trilogy was one of the biggest surprises in 2014. I loved the hilarious, non-stop comedy along with some impressive visual effects. What impressed me the most was the chemistry with the entire cast, and the acting that went along with it.
It was safe to say this film was one of my most anticipated movies coming into 2017, and I have to say it didn't disappoint. When I rewatched the first film I thought there was no way they could top the comedy, but I have to say that Vol.
2 might actually be funnier than the first film. There is non-stop laughs throughout this film, and there was one moment in particular that made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe for a good thirty seconds after it happened.
Although the comedy is top-notch, I have to say that I was a little disappointed that there wasn't enough action as there was in the first installment. What Vol. 1 did so well was the perfect pacing of comedy and action, and that was my biggest complaint coming out of this movie.
Other than that, the performances, laughs, and chemistry are what drive this move home for me, and I had a blast in the theater.
