Review of Grown Ups (2010) by Jason 123 D — 11 Aug 2013
The other ceitics seem to misunderstand this film. Adam Sandler just wanted to make it funny. Some of those who reviewed it seem to think he was aiming for every Oscar. Honestly, what's wrong with just having something that makes you laugh?
Admittedly, it was a big cast for something with that aim and the likes of Selma Hayek were not challenged in the slightest, but the goal was achieved. There seemed to be a certain amount of chemistry too and I imagine they all enjoyed what they were doing.
If this was out in the cinemas now, I would still wait for the DVD. I did find it very enjoyable though and would possibly watch it again at some point.
