Review of Grown Ups (2010) by Ash E — 11 Jul 2013
Classic Adam Sandler boy's club of a bunch of guys getting together and having a good time, except this time they added in wives and children.
I think that both kids and parents would enjoy this movie, as there is plenty of slap stick humor which children tend to get and some quick whips that children tend to miss or don't really understand yet.
I didn't really understand why Salma Hayek was in the movie, other then the fact that I think that Adam Sandler seems to as of late have a think for the latina women. Maybe that is wrong but she really didn't add anything to the movie and she can be a great actress but that was not asked of her in this movie. (side note) Do you ever wonder why actors choose the movies they are in? Like is it because they are looking for a pay day or do they really want to me in the movie they are... my personal opinion is that you can normally tell the difference between the two.(end note).
Go see this movie if you are interest in some light-hearted comedy or you have some kids you need to entertain for a couple of hours. If you are looking for something smart-witted and edgy you should look for another movie.
