Review of Groundhog Day (1993) by Charlie D — 22 Jun 2012
How had I not seen this movie before yesterday? Groundhog Day is an intelligent, sharp (and at times, extremely dark) comedy starring the always-amazing Bill Murray, who never fails to satisfy. It's pretty much everything you could want from a comedy; it always has a good set-up and punchline, while maintaining its thought-provoking premise.
There are genuine moments of pain and heartache, and it really explores every possible angle you can cover with a storyline like this. It starts off a little slow and there are moments where it drags, but overall it's definitely worth your time.
