Groundhog Day is a wonderful picture. It doesn't spend a lot of time or money into pleasing us visually, it simply sits on an idea until it can finally conjure it up in the best possible way, not unlike the plight of its central character.
It's romantic, funny, moving, and brilliantly acted, and is a simple achievement.
