Review of Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) by David P — 02 Jan 2009
The movie was humorous in a totally outlandish way. The idea of John Cusack as a hitman is itself out there. The situations that arise out of this are hilarious, including his discussions with his psychiatrist.
Language got a bit rough in parts as every character seemed to be very fond of the "f" word. The showdown at the end is funny, especially the Cusack v Aykroyd fight. This is most definitely a mindless movie, as there is not much character development or depth, but it was a fun one none-the-less.
