Review of Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) by Rae W — 20 Jun 2012
A slick and smooth moving picture... best is john cusack using his charm and boyish good looks to hold back all the anger, disgust, and evil within him and expose all of his lost love and bliss towards the muse of minnie driver.
.. it is hard to watch old cusack movies and see jeremy piven in glorified cameos but that was the beauty of them, and as well as dan ackroyd the funniest he has been since ghostbusters! only concern that makes it from instant classic is the action sequences don't seem to fit into the overall flow of the film, not too over-the-top for this satirical comedy and not too fast paced to be considered action, it a pedistrian act that is forgivable based on the stregnth of the leads.
