Other than the staggering fact that this movie came out in 1997 and it seems like an ancient work, it is a great coming home story for anyone who left home and return to something different. Cuasack's character is the self-reflective type.

Also seeing Cusack is hilarious possibly because of its rarity for Mr. 80's. very unusual. he usually plays the pathetic loser cool guy but now he's the ass kicking hitman. The psychiatry scene is very interesting because he is almost paying to have a mentor, someone to discuss his life with, he needs someone to talk to to make himself feel better.

or maybe i'm reading wayyy too into it. but I liked this movie, it played with some interesting dynamics yet was still a typical style Cuasack in a sense. Also ultimate eros/thanatos (sex/death) parable at the end when it gets over the top shoot-em up love comedy stizzle.
